myDMX Buddy is a scaled down, entry level version of myDMX 2.0. Out of the package, myDMX 2.0 software will run in limited mode; 256 "Live" DMX channels & 12 "Stand Alone" DMX channels (No 3D visualizer, Easy Remote or Midi features). However, these features plus other upgrades, including additional Live & Stand Alone channels can be purchased at www.store.dmxsoft.com. The dongle plugs directly into a 3-pin DMX input on your lighting fixture or can be connected to a standard, 3-pin DMX cable to extend your data run. The dongle connects to a computer via a USB connection.
ADJ is now offering the May 20, 2016 update for the myDMX 2.0 and myDMX Buddy control software. Users may download the software for free from the ˜downloads tab.
May 20, 2016 improvements:
-New Windows and Mac installers that will download the latest ssl library with an internet connection upon install.
-New Maintenance application that installs with the program to check for component updates or new versions of the software.
-New Cloud search for profiles Search for the latest and greatest fixture profiles from within the program itself, no more hunting through dropbox.
-Many optimizations and functional improvements and under the hood changes.
-Bug fixes.
